Aloom AI has shut down

A note from the founder

Hey friends,

When I founded Aloom AI, I wanted to build a lean, sustainable business that could provide high quality AI technology to small providers in the healthcare industry. Small providers have all of the same problems that large providers do, but they don't have the near the level of support or resources to solve them. I wanted to change that, or at least make a meaningful dent in the problem.

I know from firsthand experience that it's possible for a small, determined team to build amazing products. AI makes that even easier, but the dream of a small, AI-powered company that could compete with the big players in the healthcare industry was just that - a dream.

While Aloom built some pretty great technology, building a sustainable business as a solo founder in the healthcare industry specificallly was like playing a video game on hard mode. The stakes are high, the rules are many, and the playing field is tilted pretty heavily in favor of the incumbents. It takes a certain amount of idealism to even try to play that game, but far more luck and skill than I possess to win it.

So it's time to say goodbye to Aloom AI, or at least so long for now. I appreciate all the support and encouragement I've received from friends, family, and customers over the last year. I'm proud of what was built, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have tried.
